Pronouns: She
APCC # 18041
As a cis, heterosexual, multiracial therapist, whose pronoun series is she, I bring a personal and clinical understanding of how intersecting identities and systemic structures shape our lives. Because of this, social justice and advocacy are not separate from my clinical work; they are foundational to it. I recognize that providing truly affirming care demands an ongoing commitment to learning, unlearning, and self-reflection.
I translate this commitment into a practice that honors your unique background and lived experience. Healing is an active, shared process that thrives on both emotional safety and the inner fortitude to grow. I am dedicated to offering a secure, inclusive space where you can show up as your authentic self. Within this partnership, we co-create a space of exploration—a soft landing where you can express your truths, gently deconstruct old protective patterns, and engage in the honest reflection needed to navigate personal and systemic challenges.
When I am not working, I find balance by leaning into the things that bring me joy and grounding. I share my home with a lively crew, including my dog and two conures (parrots), and I love spending time birdwatching and caring for the wild birds in my neighborhood. I am an avid cook who loves experimenting with new recipes, and I am always trying to dive into my ever-growing stack of unread books with a warm cup of tea in hand. To stay active, I go to the gym, weightlifting, and to unwind, I love exploring new local food spots. I also enjoy playing video games with my spouse—some of our current favorites to play together are PlateUp!, R.E.P.O, and Peak.
My therapeutic approach is holistic, systemic, relational, and deeply collaborative. I operate from the fundamental belief that you are the expert of your own life, and that the insights and strengths you need to heal are already within you. Within this supportive framework, I specialize in helping clients navigate the lasting impacts of developmental and relational trauma. I am passionate about helping you uncover the roots of relational patterns, break cycles of emotional pain, and reclaim the sense of safety, self-worth, and healthy connection that you deserve.
To support your journey, I integrate trauma-informed frameworks tailored to your unique needs:
- Systemic Therapy: I examine how your relationships, family dynamics, community, and broader societal structures impact your mental health and well-being.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS): I help you explore, understand, and harmonize the different parts of yourself, fostering self-compassion and healing for wounded or protective parts of your system.
- Somatic Therapy: We will incorporate mind-body awareness to help you release stored trauma, regulate your nervous system, and connect with your body’s innate wisdom.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): I draw from this relational approach to help you understand your emotional responses, identify negative interactive cycles, and foster secure, bonding connections with yourself and others.
- Humanistic & Experiential Therapies: I emphasize personal growth, self-awareness, and the rich processing of your lived experiences in the present moment.
- Strength-Based & Resource-Focused: Beyond processing trauma and distress, we will actively identify and leverage your inherent strengths, resources, and resilience.
There is no one-size-fits-all path to healing. Together, we will attune to your specific needs, clarify your goals, and develop the tools and self-awareness required to navigate life’s challenges in a way that feels genuinely right for you.
