Therapy: Meet Anthony

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, whether that’s navigating the dating landscape, relationship dynamics, identity exploration, or patterns that no longer serve them. You might be wondering how to show up as your authentic self, how to build deeper connections, or how to navigate intimacy and vulnerability in a world that doesn’t make space for who you are. Therapy can be a place to slow down, reflect, and create new possibilities.

Hi, I’m Anthony, my pronoun series are he and they, and those who speak Tagalog, siya and sila, and I’m Your Queer Relationship Therapist. I’m glad you’re here.

I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT#160203, I’m a gay, immunocompromised, Asian American, cis man living and working on Chumash and Tongva (Gabrielino) land. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Los Angeles, and my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles, with a specialization in LGBTQ+ Affirmative Psychology.

I am deeply committed to ongoing learning and to providing a respectful, collaborative, and affirming therapeutic space. My work centers on supporting LGBTQPIA2S+ couples, individuals, families, and youth who are navigating dating, relationships, identity, and life transitions. Common areas of focus include communication patterns, self-worth and identity development, heartbreak and rejection, exploring sexuality, boundaries and trust, attachment healing, and building healthier, more fulfilling relationships, whether it’s to a partner, family member, friend, even yourself. Together, we’ll explore patterns with curiosity and care, strengthen self-understanding, and work at a pace that feels right for you.

My therapeutic approach is relational, collaborative, and informed by LGBTQ+ affirmative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices. I strive to create a space that is trans-affirming, sex-positive, and respectful of diverse relationship structures, identities, and lived experiences. I value openness, humility, and feedback, and my goal is that therapy as something we actively shape together.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy weightlifting to K-pop, and playing tennis and pickleball-activities that help me stay connected to my body.

    • Individuals: $100 for a 50-minute session
